Terms of Service

By enrolling in the Character Mapping on-demand course (the "Course"), you agree to the following legally binding terms. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

1. Payment Terms

  • Paid in Full: Enrollment requires a single, one-time payment of the full tuition fee. We do not offer payment plans or installments for this Course.
  • No Refunds: Due to the digital nature of the content and immediate access to intellectual property, all sales are final. No refunds, credits, or exchanges will be issued under any circumstances once access is granted.

2. Access and License

  • Life of the Product Access: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Course materials for the "life of the product." This means you will have access as long as the Course remains commercially available on our platform.
  • Platform Changes: If we decide to retire the Course or migrate to a new platform, we will provide at least 60 days' notice via the email address on file so you may complete your studies.
  • Non-Transferable: Your access is tied to your individual account. You may not share, sell, or transfer your login credentials or access rights to any other individual or entity.

3. Intellectual Property

All materials within the Character Mapping course—including videos, worksheets, templates, and text—are the exclusive property of Mariel Pastor, LLC.

  • Permitted Use: You may download and print worksheets for your personal use.
  • Prohibited Use: You are strictly prohibited from recording, republishing, or distributing any Course content. Violation of these terms will result in immediate termination of access without a refund.

4. Disclaimer of Results

Character Mapping is an educational tool. While the Course provides strategies for character development, Mariel Pastor, LLC does not guarantee specific writing outcomes, publication success, or financial gain. Your results depend on your own application of the materials.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mariel Pastor, LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Course.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in small claims court in Portland, Oregon, USA.
